The build price covers creating the software. Monthly care covers keeping it usable after launch.
Care costs $20 a month for the radio app and $2,000 a month for the warehouse, because they need different things. The radio app needs support and the odd schedule change. The warehouse needs its holds, dock screens, and exceptions to keep up with how the operation changes.
What monthly care pays for
Hosting, updates, support, and new features we agree on as your needs change. You still deal with me directly. Before it starts, we write down what your care fee covers.
What you own
You own the product, the code, and the accounts. You get the source code, not just the finished screens. Code and domain accounts are in your name wherever the platform allows it.
If the care arrangement ends
Hosting, updates, and support stop. I hand over your code, your data, and instructions for running the software. If I've been paying the hosting bill, you'll need to take hosting over to keep the site or app online. I'll walk you through that before anything comes down.
